Abstract
This project resulted from an exercise for university where we had to compose a piece – possibly in “Pop” since that was said to be the easiest. I, as I am taking things sometimes too seriously, wanted to take this opportunity to try something with an orchestral pattern.
I don’t recollect exactly how or when but at some point, I imagined the beginning to be so dreamy that it also resembles like sitting at a shore or on a sailship which is why there are wave sounds now at the beginning.
The result got very positive feedback with the professor stating that he wanted to know how it would’ve turned out, if the submission guidelines wouldn’t have been: maximum length of one minute (which I kinda broke but let’s not be that picky :D)

During the composing, after several hours of listening the music, I felt like something could be missing in the last third of the project which is why I got a little bit experimental. If you would ask me now, I would say that the original version is perfect as it is and doesn’t need additional notes but I kind of also got in love with the alternative version which is why you can also listen to it here – tell me: Which one do you prefer?
